Rhythm Worksheet
This activity is intended to improve rhythmic accuracy, not just for this particular piece, but for the player's overall awareness of the meter. All members of the ensemble must be able to correctly clap and perform these rhythms on their instruments. Be aware that you will also be expected to do this while another rhythm is done. Could you perform these 6/8 rhythms while another group of instruments are in 2/4. Try practicing these with another peer. If you are a woodwind, sing a 6/8 rhythm and if you are brass player, sing eighth notes in 2/4. Try switching roles! If your computer can't print out the file, the teacher will provide a copy of the rhythm worksheet.
